The cost of a new SludgeHammer® system varies depending on whether our partners are implementing a new design or remediating a current system, as well as on the size and scope of the project. Most state and county health departments require licensed, certified tradesmen to install and maintain septic systems and their components. To comply with regulatory agencies and for the protection of our clients, SludgeHammer Group Ltd. has implemented a policy that only licensed and certified installers and maintenance providers may work with SludgeHammer® technology.

SludgeHammer Group Ltd. manufactures the only Aerobic Bacterial Generators (ABGs) that have been rigorously tested and certified according to official industry standards, including a listing with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). In addition to partnering with the industry’s most elite installers and engineers, our ongoing testing, certification, and data ensure that property owners are protected at the highest level.

SludgeHammer® systems have been rigorously tested and certified by the industry’s most elite organizations. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on all technology; however, guarantees cannot be made as we’re unable to control actual daily flows. If harmful substances are introduced to the system or if annual maintenance needs are neglected, issues can arise.

Each SludgeHammer® ABG will take approximately 2-3 hours to install.

Once installation is complete, you can expect the system to fully acclimate within 36 to 72 hours.

Provided you’re using your SludgeHammer® system within its design parameters and maintaining it in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, your system should last indefinitely.

As with any septic system, common knowledge is key. Do not rinse or flush paint into the septic tank, don’t flush handi-wipes or non-degradable materials (including tampons) down the toilet, and ensure cleaning products such as bleach are used in small quantities. Yes, all systems, including conventional septic systems, require consistent maintenance. SludgeHammer® systems should be maintained annually for residential systems and multi-annually for non-residential systems.

Yes, the bacteria is safe. However, avoiding contact with the eyes and handwashing are always recommended practices when handling any bacteria.

SludgeHammer Blend™ bacterial tablets can be flushed down to rejuvenate the bacterial population as needed.

SludgeHammer® systems are approved for use in most jurisdictions throughout the United States. If you provide your state and country, we can confirm your area’s approval status and connect you with certified local installers.

SludgeHammer® effluent can safely be used in landscaping when distributed under the soil surface with a subsurface drip system or something similar. It can also be used for surface spray if disinfected with UV sterilization; however, it’s important to check with local regulators prior to use.

SludgeHammer Group Ltd. will repair or replace defective parts returned to SludgeHammer® and deemed defective upon inspection, provided the following terms have been met:

• The system has been used within its design parameters based on gallon-per-day flow
• The system has not been misused or neglected
• The system owner has a signed maintenance contract with a certified SludgeHammer® maintenance provider
• The system has been maintained by a certified SludgeHammer® maintenance provider in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations

SludgeHammer® has a 99.9% success rate over the last 25 years. In the rare case that your system doesn’t perform as expected, there are a myriad of troubleshooting considerations. These include, but aren’t limited to, neglect, misuse, lack of maintenance and faulty parts. In the event there is a defect with your system, it may be covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty.
